The Shasta Conservation Fund is a
non-profit organization providing education, exchanging scientific information and fostering
the conservation and wise use of
natural resources for the residents
of Shasta County.
We Envision:
Children who grow up with a conservation ethic
Private citizens who are stewardsof their own property's natural resources
Citizens who appreciate Shasta County's natural gifts, and work to conserve them in spite of inevitable population growth
A community that feels a sense of responsibility for conservation
Our Goals:
Support youth programs that promote conservation
Seek non-government grants compatible with the Shasta Conservation Fund's mission
Establish relationships with other private sector foundations and conservation organizations
Hold a minimum of two fundraising events per year (i.e. Christmas tree sale, woodcutting permits, etc.) and an annual Watershed Festival)
Increase public recognition of the Shasta Conservation Fund as a leading private conservation organization
