Recently the Shasta Conservation Fund held the first annual Watershed Festival. Staged in Caldwell Park it was a day of fun and enviromental education. The SCF is dedicated to teaching our communities about the preservation and intelligent resource management that has made Shasta County one of the best places to live in California.Working together with our communities we can make a difference. The SCF works in collaboration with many agencies, private business and other non-profit groups. A grant funded through the National Forest Foundation paved the way for three chipping weekends in Lakehead. Working with the Shasta County Fire Safe Council, CDF and the Lakehead Fire Safe Council this project is a winning example of how together we can get the job done!
